Lou Pisani
Lou Pisani is a 1983 graduate of Highlands High School in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. He has earned degrees in Jazz Performance and Music Education from the Dana School of Music and a masters in Trumpet Performance from the University of Akron. For 2 ½ years Lou performed with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, as Lead Trumpet, on their tours of North America, Europe and the Far East. He also was an adjunct professor at the Dana School of Music. Currently, Lou teaches at Ingomar Middle School and is very active as a freelance musician in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Lou has performed with Arturo Sandoval, Mel Torme, Clark Terry, David Sanborn, Jon Faddis, Alex Acuna, Frank Foster, Joe Lovano, Billy Byers, Louie Bellson, Maria Schneider, Rob McConnell, Eddie Daniels, Tom Harrell, Slide Hampton, John Fedchock, Guido Basso, Jim Pugh, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Jimmy Dorsey Band, Rosemary Clooney, The Four Freshmen, The Pied Pipers, John Pizzarelli, Tex Beneke, Sammy Nestico, Aretha Franklin, Barry Manilow, Kristin Chenoweth, Johnny Mathis, Manhattan Transfer, Linda Eder, Sandy Duncan, Freida Payne, Mitzi Gaynor, Lou Christie, Frankie Laine, Toni Tenille, The Four Ladds, The Temptations, and The Four Tops. In addition, Lou has performed at inaugural balls for two presidents and the first Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame induction concert.
